Competencies In this project, you will demonstrate your mastery of the following competencies: Apply user experience standards and practices to web design Use advanced prototyping tools in web design Design a website usability test Scenario You work as a lead designer at a website design agency called User CentriX Services. Your manager has asked you to come to the aid of a novice designer facing challenges with their first website design project. The project is in its third week of development, and the designer is struggling to meet the client’s expectations. The novice designer has tested the initial wireframes and received negative user feedback but is unsure how to remediate the issues. Your task is to evaluate the novice designer’s work and create a presentation illustrating how the designer can successfully move forward. Based on your analysis in Milestone One, you developed concrete examples of how to remediate the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) issues identified in the user feedback. Specifically, you created high-fidelity mock-ups of the website landing page in Milestone Two and a detailed plan for user testing of your mock-ups in Milestone Three. For this project, you will create a presentation to demonstrate your mock-ups and user testing plan to the novice designer. This way, you can support your colleague’s professional development by explaining the underlying UX and UI principles that should inform their work moving forward. Directions Your presentation should include concrete examples illustrating how to apply UX and UI principles to website design and accompanying explanations for each. Specifically, you need to present your high-fidelity mock-ups of the website landing page and a detailed plan for user testing of your mock-ups. See the Supporting Materials section below to review the full package of existing project materials, including a client brief, wireframes, and user feedback. You should package your work in a cohesive PowerPoint presentation with accompanying speaker notes. Be sure to include each of the following elements: Introduction: Set the stage for your presentation by analyzing the existing project materials and identifying the UX and UI issues with the website design. Be sure to incorporate any instructor feedback gained in Milestone One. Include the following: Evaluate the novice designer’s application of user experience principles. Discuss the following aspects in your critique: user-centricity, consistency, hierarchy, context, efficiency, and cognitive load. Revised Designs: Present and discuss your high-fidelity mock-ups of the website landing page (created in Adobe XD). These should be polished in their design but do not need to be interactive. Embed your Adobe XD files as PNGs in your PowerPoint presentation (see the Supporting Materials for a tutorial on exporting PNG files in Adobe XD). Be sure to incorporate any instructor feedback gained from submitting your draft mock-ups in Milestone Two. Address the following: Share your desktop mock-up illustrating the UX and UI principles discussed in the Introduction section. Share your mobile mock-up illustrating the UX and UI principles discussed in the Introduction section. Explain how different devices impact user experience by comparing your desktop and mobile mock-ups. Address mobile usability standards in your explanation. Defend your application of accessibility standards, including each standard listed in the accessibility checklist in the Supporting Materials section. Defend the improvements of your mock-ups compared to the novice designer’s previous wireframes. Explain how you incorporated user feedback from users. Explain why the prototyping tool used to create your mock-ups (Adobe XD) was appropriate for this stage of the prototyping process. User Testing Plan: Propose a usability test plan for your mock-ups. Be sure to incorporate any instructor feedback gained from submitting your draft test plan in Milestone Three. Address the following aspects: Define the scope and goals of the usability test. In other words, what aspects and features of the website design are being tested? What are you hoping to learn from the testing? Identify all resources required for the usability test. This should include the types of participants, recruitment and incentive strategies, and any required testing tools. Present a script for the usability test that ensures participants clearly understand their role. Justify how your proposed usability test will contribute to iterative design optimization. Explain how bias would be mitigated when collecting feedback during the usability test. Conclusion: Draw final conclusions and highlight your presentation’s key takeaways for your colleague. Specifically: Identify the next steps in the user-centered design process, including action items for the novice designer. Explain how the novice designer can take a more user-centered approach to their designs moving forward. What to Submit To complete this project, you must submit the following: UX and UI Training Presentation Your training presentation should be 12–14 slides in length. Your presentation should include a title slide, primary content slides, and a reference slide. You are encouraged but not required to create a voice-over narration of your speaker notes. See the Supporting Materials section for more information on recording your voice-over narration if you choose to create one. Sources should be cited according to MLA style. UX and UI Training Presentation Speaker Notes Your submission should be a Word document with 12-point Times New Roman font, double spacing, and one-inch margins. See the Supporting Materials for more information on how to save and convert the speaker notes to a Word file. Sources should be cited according to MLA style. Supporting Materials The following resources support your work on the project: Resource: GRA 470 Project Client Files This zip file includes all the existing project materials that you need to evaluate for the novice designer. Download and unzip the following folder and files: GRA 470 FutureFunds Logos GRA 470 FutureFunds Client Brief GRA 470 FutureFunds User Feedback GRA 470 FutureFunds Wireframes

I need to write the materials and methods into my thesis, I have all the lab protocols and the journals that need to be processed but don′t have the time right now. I am attaching my report where the topics of the materials and methods are listed, but they need to be worked out. Following I attach the separate protocols, it might be that I′m missing some. In the ppt you can find the whole overview of the methods. If you are willing, you can also help me input the results and write the discussion and we will discuss the price. I will also add an example thesis (by Yvette for reference)

The eight principles of information architecture were developed by Dan Brown in 2010 to help UX and UI professionals make better website design decisions. In your module reading, you learned about each of these eight principles and their implications for user experience. In this discussion, you will find a representative example of at least one of these eight principles to share and discuss with your peers. Prior to your initial post, choose one of the eight principles of information architecture to research. Find a website that is lacking in its execution of your chosen principle. Consider searching for local businesses, local government, or local school websites, as these often will be dated or might not have the resources to invest in UX and UI support. In your initial post, address the following in NO MORE THAN 2-3 PARAGRAPHS: Share your example website and identify which principle you feel is lacking in this example. Explain why you believe your example website has poorly incorporated your selected principle. Give specific details to support your claims. In response to at least two of your peers’ initial posts, answer the following in NO MORE THAN 1-2 PARAGRAPHSs: Find a post discussing a different principle than the one that you chose for your initial post. You may respond by adding to the critique. For example, are there other principles of information architecture that are also lacking in the example? Is there interplay between these issues? Defend your claims with specific details. You may also respond by suggesting solutions for the identified issues. In other words, how could the principle of information architecture be better applied in the example website? Defend your proposals with specific details. The two discussion posts to repsond to are below 1st Post https://www.ny.gov This is a link to the New York State government website. This site is lacking in most of Dan Brown’s information architecture principles, but the one that stands out to me most is the front door principle. The front door principle involves designing entry points within a system that provides users with a comprehensive overview or introduction to the content. The New York State website lacks in this principle because it simply provides a list of icons and non-descriptive labels for their offered service categories. With the large quantity of services they provide, this list not very intuitive for the user because their is not enough information for each service category for the user to be able to know which category they should select to find the service they are looking for. If some user research was preformed that measured the likelihood that a user would select the wrong category at least once before finding the category they were actually looking for, I would suspect that this would be the case somewhere between 65% and 85% of the time. 2nd Post Hi Everybody, My chosen website is https://www2.pnwx.com/ It fails multiple principles but I’m going to focus on its failure of the principle of choices. The site gives some choices noted as most popular on the landing page. However, it leaves keywords, categories, ideas, as well as brands available to the user’s imagination with no guidance at all. Also, noted in tiny words at the bottom it excitedly tells the user that this is the only way they can get the products whatever those products may be. If someone gets tired from trying to find something on their website the only other option a customer has is to call them. This is an inefficient business model.
