Selecting the right person for an open position requires an analysis of all of the aspects of an applicant, including his or her past experience (knowledge, skills, and education), his or her application and resume, and the interview responses.
As a human resources recruiter, discuss with the hiring managers the importance of selecting the best candidates in your industry for the positions listed below. Be sure to consider matching the needs and culture of the organization. You may use the Career Services interviewing section to assist you with your project. Create a PowerPoint presentation of at least 4 slides (with 200-250 words of speaker notes per slide) plus title and reference slides that addresses the following:
Provide a recommendation for the set of steps to be used in the recruitment process of a customer service representative for a streaming TV provider.
What members of the organization will be involved in the recruitment process and what are their roles in the process?
Discuss 3 types of interviews and give examples of each type. Which type will you use when interviewing the customer service representative?
Develop a 4 interview questions that you would ask the customer service representative in the interview. Provide a mixture of questions and describe why you believe each type of question is important. 

Economics is a way of thinking about the world. Lines on the page (as sentences or graphs) mean little if they do not describe what we see and experience in the world. To that end, this gives you a chance to apply what we have been studying so far to the world. Pick an experience or an observation and analyze it using the analytical tools we have developed so far. In other words, use economic thinking as it is intended to be used, to explain the world.
You may pick any subject you want as long as it ties into economics. If you are in this class, you have had at least one other economics course and 7 weeks of this one, you cannot explain the whole world, but be ambitious, there is lots going on in economic policy right now so no shortage of ideas. Go to one of the blogs listed in the syllabus and see what the professionals are talking about.
  It is to be no more than 2 pages APA formatting (no title page or abstract), 2 sources are expected. Be creative and interesting.

Explain the acronym VRIN. What are the tests for determining if resources and capabilities create core competencies and sustainable competitive advantages.
Define a SWOT analysis. What are the factors to consider when identifying a company’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

Explain the macro environment in which a company operates and the strategical relevant components of the macro-environment in which the company operates (focusing towards long-term goals).
Identify the dominant and competitive driving forces in an industry. Emphasize how strong the industry dominant and competitive forces. (strategic group, key success factors KSF’s)
