This week you will build on the simple logistic regression analysis did last week. You will use the same two variables (one independent variable and one dependent variable) you used in your SPSS analysis last week and add a second independent variable to the analysis. How has your statistical significance and odds ratio changed by the introduction of the second independent variable?
Use the one independent variable and one dependent variable you used to conduct your simple logistic regression analysis in Week 4.
Add a second independent variable to your analysis (multiple logistic regression).
Remember that your dependent variable must be dichotomous/binary.
Think about how you might use the odds ratio in your analysis to simplify the interpretation of your results.
How has your statistical significance and odds ratio changed by the introduction of the second independent variable?
Use SPSS to answer the research question you constructed. Write an analysis in APA format, including title page, references, and an appendix, that includes your data output and addresses each of the tasks listed above. The content should be 2–3 pages, including setup of the assignment and a discussion of whether the predictive relationship is statistically significant as well as the odds ratio and what it means. Your SPSS output should be included as an appendix.

Early in your Assignment, when you relate which dataset you analyzed, please include the mean of the following variables. If you are using the Afrobarometer Dataset, report the mean of Q1 (Age). If you are using the General Social Survey Dataset, report the mean of Age. If you are using the HS Long Survey Dataset, report the mean of X1SES. See page 1032 in your Warner textbook for an excellent APA-compliant write-up of a binary logistic regression analysis.

Step 2: Create the Power Point with a minimum of 10 content slides (as stated above). Place key points on the slides (maximum 5 lines, maximum 8 words each line). Each slide should contain speaker notes with in-text citations. Slides should be professional in appearance and feature picture and/or graphics as needed (must place citation under images unless Stock image—you do not need a reference for image citations). Provide recorded audio for each slide. Audio should be clean without interruptions or background noise.

Step 3: When you have completed the assignment, save a copy for yourself in an easily accessible place. Create a word document and copy and paste the speaker notes into the document to submit at the same time as the presentation (for plagiarism checker). The group leader will submit a copy of the Power Point and the word document to Canvas.

Group B:   Violence in the Community

1. Discuss the following types of violence that occur in communities: violence against children, Intimate partner violence, and Sexual Violence.
2. Visit the Healthy People 2030 website and discuss the goals for each of these types of violence.
3. Finally, describe the role of the Forensic nurse examiners (FNE)/ sexual assault nurse examiners (SANE) when dealing with each of these types of violence.

Writing a proposal that functions as a focus of change is a significant part of being a social worker and policy advocate. The proposal is your opportunity to use your advocacy skills to change and improve the lives of others by influencing decision makers.

For this Assignment, you write a proposal for some form of social advocacy that will seek to change a social, organizational, or legislative policy. The proposal may also involve advocacy for the amelioration of a social problem. The purpose of this assignment is to thoughtfully and thoroughly plan how you will advocate for changing a social problem or policy that is of interest to you. The policy and advocacy practice can take whatever form you wish and can be on one or more of the following levels: agency, community, or state.

To Prepare: Read Chapter 8 of the Jansson text.  Selected at least five sources to support your advocacy proposal. The sources may be related to specific consequences of the social problem, issues related to the policy, or steps for advocacy.

By Day 7 Submit a 2- to 3- proposal that addresses the following:

Provide a brief synopsis of the social problem you selected in Week 2.  Provide a brief synopsis of the policy you selected in Week 4.  Explain your selection of a policy—why, as a policy advocate, did you select this specific policy to promote change regarding the social problem?   Identify the person or group who enacted the policy and explain their motivation or reason for advocating for this policy. How does the reason differ from your own advocacy and change goals?  Describe the ways in which the policy impacts the populations and discuss the consequences—intended and unintended. Hint : Build on your answer to the following part of your Week 4 Assignment:  Explain how this policy affects clients you might see in a clinical setting and why, as a clinical social worker, it would be important to advocate for change. Describe your initial work to change the policy (i.e., plan for social advocacy).  Be sure to incorporate the sources you found using standard APA format.
