Once you have chosen a character, think of three character traits (ie: bravery, compassion, honesty, humor, etc.) that you believe your character possesses.
Your first paragraph should introduce your character. Make sure to include the story title & author’s name in this introduction. End your introduction with a clear thesis statement. Your thesis statement should include the character’s name & the three character traits you have identified.
You should then include three body paragraphs, each one elaborating on one of the three traits you have chosen to discuss. Each paragraph should include one quotation from the story to illustrate your point. Remember to include the author’s name & page number in parenthesis at the end of each quotation.
Your conclusion should summarize your main points. You should also restate your thesis statement using different wording. Include some final thoughts about your character to conclude your essay.
