Unit 2 Assignment: Business Analytics Training Presentation

For this assignment you will be playing the role of a Senior Data Analyst at a large corporation.
You have been tasked with creating and presenting a training presentation for a set of newly
hired data analysts. As the Senior Data Analyst, you will want this presentation to be creative,
but still informative as it will help to prepare your company’s new hires for their new journey in
the data world. This presentation will need to be recorded using both video and audio. The
format and method in which you deliver the presentation is up to you, but you must cover
these points in your presentation:
 Explain the difference between BI, Analytics, Data Marts and Big Data.
 Define the characteristics of data for good decision making.
 Describe what Data Mining is.
 Explain market basket and cluster analysis.
The deliverables for this assignment will be:
1.) Submission of the presentation material (PowerPoint, Prezi, etc.)
2.) A link to the audio and video recording of the presentation in Zoom.
In addition to course materials, please create a references slide for any research industry
related journal and periodical articles written in the last five years in the Deets Library may be
used.
Requirements:
 Prepare a narrated video presentation using Zoom Pro and presentation software of
your choice (PowerPoint, Keynote, or Prezi, etc.)
o The recording is to be stored to the Zoom cloud. You will receive an email
containing the link to the recording so that you can submit it as part of your
assignment.
o The presentation should include a title, the content and reference slides.
o The recommended length of the narrated video is 8–10 minutes.
 Citations and references must be in APA format.
 If there is any reason that prevents the creation of a video presentation, please contact
your instructor to discuss an alternative.
