How leadership levels assess a completed mission

I.The Purpose of this essay is to inform you of the Army’s levels of leadership and how they delegate, deliver and assess missions and task at each level.

III. Y-paragraph- The methods they use to deliver the task through the lower levels and the and the levels it goes through
IV. Z-paragraph- How leadership levels assess a completed mission
V. Conclusion- Delegate, deliver and assess
1. Select a topic (See Sign-Up Sheet)
2. Minimum of 750 words, no more than 1250 words
3. Font is Arial, with a point size 12
4. Use standard margins: 1 inch from the left, right, and bottom edges Do not justify right margins
5. Use double spacing
6. Utilize a graphic organizer of your choice
7. Follow the Army Writing Style and standard written English.
8. Use the five (5) paragraph format
9. Strong purpose statement
10. Use “Second Set of Eyes
PURPOSE- Bottom Line upfront
-Purpose is clear AND present at the beginning of the introduction paragraph.
-Purpose will include main topic (reason for essay) and three subtopics/x,y,z that support your main topic. (Should be first sentence in the intro).
-Introduction as a whole makes clear reason for the essay
-Restate purpose in the conclusion. This is not verbatim and you are to summarize the main topic and subtopics in other words.
ANALYSIS- Evidence and Arguments
– Arguments are focused and adhere to 80/20 analysis/paraphrasing standards. (20% cited/80% your words)
-Second paragraph is linked to purpose statement through evidence (x subtopic)
-Third paragraph is linked to purpose statement through evidence (y subtopic)
– Fourth paragraph is linked to purpose statement through evidence (z subtopic)
-Essay argument is consistent throughout the entirety of the paper
SYNTAX- Effective Sentence Structure
-Passive voice is at 0%
CONCISION- The Most Information In the Least Amount of Words/Space
– Paragraphs stay within ten lines (not sentences) per Intro, Body and Conclusion.
-60% or greater for simple sentences
-Averaging 15 words per sentence
ACCURACY- Reduce Reader Distraction
– Correct format per instruction (indent paragraphs, minimum word count, font style and size, margin spacing, double spaced, 5 paragraphs etc..)
– No use of colloquialisms or clichés phrases
-Minimal to no errors: Grammar, Punctuation, Capitalization and other basic writing mechanics. (capitalizing Soldier and other proper nouns according to the Army, 2 spaces after each period, spelling out acronyms before using them etc.)
