Outline:
The emergence of drug knowledge bases has advanced the development of biomedical tools. Drug knowledge bases contain an extensive database of drug-related topics. My term paper
will give a broad overview of the discipline of drug knowledge bases. More specifically, I will outline the history of the field and the goals on why they were developed. It will also be beneficial to contrast the differences of pre-existing drug knowledge bases. My comparison will include the improvement of bases over the years, the entities they contain, and the systems they utilize. Lastly, I will connect this field to the realm of biomedical informatics.
