For your Research Assisted essay, you are being tasked with selecting a charity, charitable cause, and/or a non-profit and writing a persuasive essay that includes at least four credible sources. In combining your research skills, as well as a persuasive argument, your essay must inform your reader about the organization you have selected as well as convince your audience to donate money to the charitable cause.
For your Research Assisted essay, you are being tasked with:
Researching a charity, charitable cause, and/or a non-profit
Informing your reader about the charity, using credible sources
Attempting to persuade your reader to donate to the selected charity
Requirements:
4 source minimum, all must pass a C.R.A.A.P Test
Proper MLA formatting, including a Works Cited and in-text documentation
2,000-word minimum
Assignments in Unit:
Proposal and Outline: A written proposal about your selected research topic, must be at least 100 cogent words to receive full credit; a finished and completed outline of your essay that includes the topic, thesis, background information, reasons, counterarguments, and conclusion
Annotated Bibliography: A collection of your sources in an MLA formatted works cited page with summaries of each source below the citation; your annotations must explain the credibility of each article and the relevance
Rough Draft: A working cogent draft of your entire essay. This may include errors but must include proper MLA citing, including a Works Cited page and in-text documentation.
Final Draft: A polished final draft of your essay, ready to be assessed and graded.
