In this second part of the course, we have explored how identity relates to popular culture. We discussed race, social class, gender, sexuality, disability and then brought it all together with the theory of intersectionality. First, explain what intersectionality is and how we can use it to think about popular culture. Second, choose 2 of the identity categories we discussed and explain their relationship to popular culture as it relates to representation, production, and audiences.
