Attend a local football contest to evaluate the officials working the contest. The contest may be of middle school, high school, or college level, however high school is preferred when it is in season. Utilizing a provided Officials Evaluation Rubric.pdf each student shall provide a summary of the official’s performance in the contest. The summary shall be in the form of a 500 word essay, double spaced, and submitted online. The summary shall include the site, teams playing, date, and time of the competition. The rubric will review the officiating crew and individual officials communication, game management,  judgement, confidence, positioning, mechanics, and leadership. The paper will be graded utilizing the rubric provided in the syllabus:
