Capstone project is in three phases
1. You must have a working information system at the end of week 8 of CSIS 483.
2. The peer review discussion board is an opportunity to get feedback on what have you completed in coding and writing up to that point.
3. Each phase requires you to submit working code and a written report. Working code requires that you make supporting systems (e.g. databases) available to the instructor. The written report must include screenshots of your application running.
4. The code and written report will be different in each phase. In CSIS 473 you created at least four use cases. You should map those use cases to the phases in CSIS 483. Perhaps, implement use case 1 in phase 1; use cases 2 and 3 in phase 2; and use case 4 in phase 3. These use cases will drive the submission for each phase. (See attached for use cases.)
5. WBS stands for Work Breakdown Structure. Here is a definition from a website that is worth reading: “A work breakdown structure defines all the things a project needs to accomplish, organized into multiple levels, and displayed graphically.” (Cohen, 2018, section What is a WBS? Available at https://www.workamajig.com/blog/guide-to-work-breakdown-structures-wbs). You need to include your WBS with your submission of each phase of the project. You may use any tool you prefer to create your WBS. Microsoft Word should be sufficient.
6. Per the rubrics, each written report should be 1,900 words to receive full points. See the rubrics for details.
7. This online version of CSIS 483 requires individual projects. Any reference to teams is for the residential (in-seat) class. You should ignore all references to teams and team work.
8. You may choose the software tools used to develop your information system.
