Close-Out Presentation/ Final Preceptor Meeting Slides

Now that we are nearing the end of the course, it is not time to present your DNP Project and Practicum to your faculty member. This is your opportunity to share your project and update your stakeholders. This presentation must occur before the final week of the course. Presentations should be scheduled between Weeks 8–10.

To prepare:

  • Discuss dates for the close-out presentation with your Faculty Member and preceptor

The Assignment (Slide Template) 

After determining a date for the presentation, the Faculty Member can schedule the meeting on TEAMS using the conference call online application. The meeting will be recorded.

  • Review any rubric or faculty guidance associated with the assignment

Using the required template ensures your presentation aligns with program expectations and formatting standards.


Step 4: Prepare the Meeting Agenda

Your presentation should follow a clear and professional agenda. Be sure to include the following components:

1. Purpose of the Meeting

Briefly explain why the meeting is being held and what attendees can expect to review.

2. Introduction of All Attendees

Introduce yourself, your Faculty Member, preceptor, and any additional stakeholders in attendance.

3. Overview of the Project (Slide Presentation)

Using the provided slide template, summarize:

  • The practice problem

  • Project objectives

  • Intervention or implementation strategy

  • Practicum setting

Keep content concise, professional, and aligned with DNP-level scholarship.

4. Value and Impact of the Project

Discuss:

  • Outcomes achieved

  • Contributions to practice, patient care, or organizational improvement

  • How the project aligns with evidence-based practice

5. Lessons Learned

Reflect on:

  • Challenges encountered

  • Skills developed

  • Insights gained during implementation

This section demonstrates professional growth and critical reflection.
