Instructions: Following your simulation experience, complete the following questions using this document as a template. Give specific examples. Responses should reflect depth of thought & insight into your personal growth. See rubric below for grading information.

4. How have you incorporated theory learned in the classroom into your clinical practice? (1 paragraph)

5. How will you incorporate what you learned in clinical/simulation into your nursing career? (2 paragraphs)

SIM REMEDIATION

It is required that you use the space below to address your remediation requirements following your simulation scenario. Make sure that for each items you include:

· A description of your error

· A discussion of the correct action using a reputable source with APA citation to identify the action you should have taken. Consider the evidence with patient safety as your guide. Be sure to give sufficient details so that your faculty know that you understand the situation.

Strengths: Start by recalling specific actions you performed well. Use concrete examples, e.g., “I effectively administered medication on time, ensuring patient safety.”
Areas for Improvement: Be honest but professional. Focus on learning opportunities, e.g., “I struggled with prioritizing patient assessments and will improve using time management strategies.”
Semester Comparison: Reflect on progress and remaining challenges. Suggest strategies, e.g., simulation practice, reviewing clinical procedures.
Theory Integration: Connect classroom knowledge to practice. Example: “I applied evidence-based infection control protocols during patient care.”
Future Nursing Practice: Explain how lessons learned will influence your career, emphasizing patient safety and professional growth.
Remediation: Identify errors, reference reputable sources (textbooks, nursing journals, or guidelines), and explain how to correct the mistake in real scenarios.
