For each book, you will write a 3-5 page formal review. This may be a review of the book as a whole, or a detailed review of a particular section, depending on the nature of the book. Keep in mind that a book review is not merely a summary of a book; rather, it is a critical assessment of the content. These reviews will take the form of an academic book review. Some examples will be provided for you on the course website, along with resources on how to write a successful review. You will be expected to support your arguments using a limited number (2-4) of key references from peer-reviewed literature or scholarly books.
