This first activity is to identify your public health topic and then narrow in on your research question. You will also identify some background information on your topic. This assignment is to help me provide feedback on your research question. Your grade will be based on following the instructions and completing each section. You will fill out a form answering the following open-ended questions:
What is your public health topic?
What about it is interesting to you?
What would you like to be the specific focus of your research question? (e.g., do you want focus on a specific population? are you interested in specific factors that might lead to your health outcome?)
To help you get more focused, use the “Five Ws” (who, what, when, where, why) to write your topic as a specific research question. See examples from class if you’re not sure how to do this.
