Introduction
As you have learned more about the uses of advanced healthcare statistics, you will now apply some of what you’ve learned using the exercises from Chapter 5 of your Calculating and Reporting Healthcare Statistics.
You will perform exercises using the textbook, Microsoft articles, and the Length of Stay video as your guide.
You will need Microsoft Excel for this exercise. If you have not done so, refer to Software Preparation and Technology Access in the course introduction.
Instructions
Follow these steps to complete this assessment:
Open the Applying Data Statistics Exercise #2 Template [XLSX] in Excel.
Go to Chapter 5 of the Calculating and Reporting Healthcare Statistics text, page 83.Perform LOS calculations for review question 3.
Go to Chapter 5 of the Calculating and Reporting Healthcare Statistics text, page 69.Perform LOS calculations for Exercise 5.2.
Note that the exercises are on separate tabs with instructions in the template.
