rimo Levi Final Essay (20 pts)
The final essay will be a psychological analysis of the life and poetry of Primo Levi. While it cannot be proven why he died, you are to make the argument that it was a suicide. You will support such a conclusion by analyzing how his poetry progressed and changed over the 40+ years since his liberation from Auschwitz, and how he seemed to move toward the conclusion that he could not go on living. You will complete this poetic analysis alongside one of the three most common “Models of Grief” in the following link:

Understanding The Stages Of Grief And How To Grieve Your Loss

Within your analysis, you must identify and interpret 4 to 5 Levi poems to show how he was in (or moving through) the stages of the Model you select. When selecting the poems to include in the essay, take note of the following:
Any poem can satisfy any stage of any Model, but a poem may only be used in the essay once.
Regardless of the Model you select, you may ignore the chronological order of the stages. The poems may represent any stage you choose regardless of the poem’s date of composition.
Within the analysis of each poem, you must make at least one direct (word-for-word) reference to the poem as a means of supporting your argument(s).
Each poem (or the relevant portions you choose to reference) must be analyzed in 200-250 words. The total word count for the essay must be between 800 and 1250 words (depending on how many poems you select and how long your individual analyses are).
The essay must be typed, double-spaced, and uploaded to Blackboard as a PDF file ONLY. You are not permitted to click “Write Submission” and copy or type your essay directly into Blackboard.
The essay must contain the following header at the top left of the first page:
