1.Citizens and organizations disagree on the effectiveness of NEPA and CEQA. Do some research on both positions, for or against NEPA and CEQA, and provide your position and why. 2.Should the federal government be required to fund the recovery projects of endangered or threatened species? Why or Why not? If you believe the government should fund the recovery, who should be taxed to pay for the recovery costs? 3.Research an endangered species in the United States. Summarize what the species is, why its endangered, and if there are any recovery efforts. Link your resources.
Response 1 (Heriberto): 2. I believe the government should be liable for the recovery projects such as endangered or threatened species. I feel it’s the duty of the government to intervene when called for and to save the endangered or threatened species, that’s a great cause to allocate grants/funds. I personally feel if the government was to intervene to save the endangered or threatened species, I believe citizens should be taxed for the cause. I would feel comfortable knowing that my contribution is going to a great cause to save the endangered/threatened species from extinction. I would only think that other people would contribute as well when he/she finds out what the cause is for, and how many lives it could save for the near future. I believe threatened species/endangered are vital to our environment, therefore, saving them from being wiped off the universe is crucial in my opinion.

I believe that the government should engage in the conservation of endangered species for the benefit of both the government and the environment we live in. We may witness its numerous long-term benefits, so the government should prioritize this matter. On the other hand, I think imposing taxes related to such projects is crucial, and people would be willing to participate. Additionally, the government should enforce strict penalties against those who oppose or exploit these projects for personal gain. As for the entities targeted by these taxes, I believe everyone has a responsibility to participate in this noble initiative.
