Continue the work of the research proposal (first file) and base the paper off of it (And the thesis/ working thesis)
“Building on your initial thesis and research developed in your Proposal and Annotated
Bibliography, write an essay on the approved topic that is well supported by sound reasoning and
solid evidence. In this Paper, you will demonstrate/prove the thesis that you have developed.
Your paper needs to have an effective title and a one-paragraph introduction that clearly
indicates your thesis. Your paper should include a minimum of FIVE body paragraphs (not
counting introduction and conclusion) developed using paraphrases, summaries, and direct
quotes from sources. The one-paragraph conclusion can do many things, like put a further spin
on the argument, suggest further research…etc.
Quoted material should never exceed 30 percent of your paper and should follow MLA-style
guidelines. Your sources must include at least one book chapter, two scholarly articles, and one
newspaper article. There must be a total of at least five sources.
The paper must follow MLA style and will be at least 1600 words (not including heading, title,
and works cited list) and no more than 2400, using 1” margins, and 12 point Times New Roman
Font. Your paper will have a Works Cited list (in MLA format) at the end.”
