Here is what I am looking for in your book/movie reaction:
I am NOT looking for a “Book/Movie REPORT” which means don’t just tell be about the book/movie and the author.
I am looking for a 1800-2000 word “Book/Movie REACTION” which means tell me how you felt about the book – For instance:
Tell me why you picked the book/movie.
Tell me what the theme (or moral or main idea) of the book/movie is
Tell me some of the ideas, themes, actions, premises, moral/ethical issues, dialogue, etc. in the book that made an impact on you and why…in other words:
what did you agree with,
what bothered you,
what touched you and why,
how you related to the author, characters, or ideas…how did this book/movie make a difference in your life…stuff like that…
Tell your reactions to the various parts of the book/movie…did you agree with what it was trying to “teach” or not (and why)…did you relate well to a particular story, person, theme and why, pick it apart and tell me why you chose it and what you were hoping to get out of it, and if it was worth reading (and why)…did the book touch on any of the philosophical ideas we have been talking/reading about? Do you think it was a good choice for reading in this class (and why/why not)… … …stuff like that.
