Each student is expected to create an essay/paper that facilitates discussion and understanding of a theory on or related to life span development. Outside scholarly references must be consulted and properly cited (journal articles, books, etc.). The purpose of this activity for students to critically analyze and broaden their knowledge of human development theories. Your paper should be 5-8 pages in length, no more than 8 pages.

Please utilize the following in writing your theory paper. All papers must adhere to the APA format.
What is the theory you selected and what knowledge did you gain from the activity of choosing the theory for this assignment?
Using exhibit 2.9 in the Hutchinson, E.D., (2017) textbook as an example, state the tenets of the theory in single statements using your own words.
How does the theory stretch your thinking regarding diversity issues (e.g., race, class, gender, culture, sexuality, religion)?
Does the theory have any connection to the dimensions of the person in environment?
Does the theory have any connection to human development and behavior?
Discuss the implications of the theory for 1) Social welfare policy, 2) Economic status, 3) Social justice, and 4) Social work interventions.
Critique the theory in terms of its strengths and limitations bearing in mind that no theory is exhaustive.
