For this assignment you will further explore the gender wage gap. Go to the following The Simple Truth about the Pay Gap presenting information on the gender pay gap:
Review the information presented on this site. Be sure to explore some of the additional informational links, such as Fast Facts reports. In your assignment, report back one or two facts that surprised or interested you. Which factors explaining/contributing to the wage gap that are presented in the chapter do you think have had an impact on the facts that you explored on the site?
Assignment 2
In this activity, you will examine global same-sex relationship legality and the personal stories of those impacted by social policies related to sexuality
First, examine Figure 5.4 from your textbook showing global same-sex relationship laws. Then, visit the site Where Love Is Illegal and click on “World Map” at the top of the site to view and even more detailed map of laws by country/region. Review the information contained in both of these maps.
Now, read at least three of the personal stories from different countries/regions on the site Where Love Is Illegal and address the following questions in your assignment:

1. Reflect on the stories you read. What did you learn? How were you impacted by the stories you read? Are any questions raised for you by these stories? You can reflect on anything you like from reading these stories.
2. Identify the countries the people come from with the stories you read and find those countries’ laws in the map provided in Where Love Is Illegal. What does this tell you about the impact of laws/policies related to sexuality on personal experience
