An internal and external analysis of the organization
The internal analysis includes strengths and weaknesses of the business. It should also include all the following:
1) Significant historical aspects of the organization
2) Operational analysis: Organizational chart and significant personnel and management issues
3) Sales history
4) Recent and pending technology innovations
5) Financial history
6) Target markets: Past, present, future
7) How change and innovation has been incorporated into the company
8) Challenges/opportunities for the company
The external analysis should focus on opportunities and threats to the company. It should discuss the different competitors and other micro and macro threats and opportunities. It can include the following:
1) Major competition and why they are considered that
2) Industry and competitive trends (nationally and for Atlanta)
3) Threats to the industry, competition and business
4) Significant technological developments relating to the business and/or industry
5) Significant economic factors in Atlanta area
6) Political, legal, or legislative concerns
Project Criteria:
1) Research on the company and industry is required.
2) 10 to 12 pages of text and key summary findings, double spaced, 12-point type.
3) All relevant exhibits, title page, table of contents, tables and charts will be included but not counted as part of the minimum page requirement.
4) A bibliography is required at the end of the report. All sources must be cited within the body of the text before the bibliography.
