The purpose of this assignment is to provide an in-depth look at a nutrition topic of your choice.
Instructions:
Choose a nutrition topic of your choice. Examples include the macronutrients, the micronutrients, a chronic disease (such as diabetes), sports nutrition, and more.
Create a Slide Presentation (i.e. PowerPoint) to share your knowledge. Your presentation should explain why you chose your topic, clearly address the nutrition/dietary aspects of your topic, be thorough, and provide more information than what is presented in the textbook and/or lectures.
Your presentation should include 15-20 slides (excluding the title slide and the references slide) with enough detail to cover your chosen topic sufficiently. Use at least 4 evidence-based references (i.e. peer-reviewed journals, professional organizations, government resources, etc) in your presentation. Your presentation MUST include your thoughts (not just information from outside sources).
All slides should include a recorded narration AND a script in the notes section of the slides. VERY IMPORTANT: For PowerPoint, you must open PowerPoint using the PowerPoint app on your device. To do this, create a new PowerPoint presentation, click on “File”, go to “Info”, and then “Open in Desktop App”. This will provide a “Record” option to narrate your presentation.
All information (text and images) must be cited in APA style. The presentation should include both in-text citations (on slides throughout the presentation–NOT in the notes section of the slides) and a references list (in a slide at the end of the presentation).
This assignment must be submitted in a file format that is compatible with Turnitin: .doc, .docx, .rtf, .txt, .pdf, .htm, .html, .odt, .eps, .ps, .wpd, .hwp, .ppt, .pptx, .ppsx, .pps, .xls, .xlsx. The file cannot be too large. CHECK YOUR TURNITIN REPORT TO MAKE SURE YOUR ASSIGNMENT SUCCESSFULLY WENT THROUGH.
