Your assessment will include a discussion of strengths/protective factors, risk factors, racism, diversity, inclusiveness, cultural and contextual considerations, diagnostic impression (including numerical code) with rationale, and a discussion of differential diagnoses. Diagnostic impressions may differ from one student to another even with the same case scenario. What is most important is that you have justified your diagnosis and ruled out any diagnoses with similar symptom presentation. These case assessments are expected to be well-written with few or no typographical errors. However, APA format is not required for these exercises.
Grading criteria (15 points total for each assessment)
3 pts: A thoughtful reflection on strengths/protective factors and risk factors
3 pts: A well-supported diagnostic impression with differential diagnoses ruled out
5 pts: A meaningful reflection on cultural and contextual considerations based on social work values as well as diversity, inclusiveness and anti-racism
