All Applicants In a concise statement, please explain the following: Your educational and professional goals; The factors and experience that led you to choose your field of study; How working as part of the DoD civilian workforce will further your technical and professional goals; and How your experience, interests, and goals will further the DoD mission.
In your response, discuss any specific challenges or problems in your field that most interest you as well as why you want to work for the DoD. Your response must be between 3,500 and 7,000 characters, including spaces. All applicants must answer the initial prompt. There are additional questions for those applying as graduate students and retention applicants. Be sure to save your work offline for your records and to prevent losing content due to a session timeout. Please cite any sources used in your statement. There is no preferred format for citations. Please avoid using special characters such as: < or >. Citations will be included in the character count.
In addition to the questions above, elaborate on the kinds of research you have engaged in or would like to engage in during your studies as well as during your expected tenure with the DoD.
