People with intellectual ( for example: autism and Down’s syndrome) or uncommon

People with intellectual ( for example: autism and Down’s syndrome) or uncommon physical disabilities (for example: Multiple Sclerosis, visual impairment, deafness and Spina Bifida) are over-represented, or have high incidences of common health concerns such as smoking, diabetes, hypertension, obesity, lack of exercise, depression and hyperlipidemia. Yet their presence in these target groups is not recognized nor accommodated. Read the attached article. Identify one group of individuals who exemplify this disparity and discuss what strategies you would employ as an APRN to mitigate disparities in this group of people.
