In week one, we will review the roles that problem solving and decision making play in strategy formulation. We will also Analyze strategic approaches used by Human Resource Management (HRM) professionals in the workplace and the linkage to organizational strategy.
To fully understand the importance of HRM in organizations and HRM’s role in strategic management, we must first understand the context in which HRM functions. Lesson one will provide some of this understanding by discussing strategic management, decision making, and problem solving. In addition, this lesson will review the importance of having a culture of good ethics to support an organization’s processes such as decision making.
