Students are required to write a scholarly research paper on appropriate criminal justice topic which would allow them to further explore and present information on a topic of specific interest. Only 1 student may write on a topic, and you may not write on a topic from another class.
Students are the researcher and I, the professor, am the audience to which you are to write your paper.
Paper is required to be:
1. A word document – no google docs, pdfs, etc
2. At least 4 full pages up to 6 pages in length (not including title page and reference page)
3. Have 1” margins.
4. Be in Times New Roman 12-point font.
5. Be double spaced.
6. Include a Title Page
7. Include a Reference Page(s)
8. No Abstract Page
9. Be in APA format 7th edition.
10. You have unlimited attempts to turn in on Blackboard.
11. No plagiarism. Make sure to view the safe assign report so you can make any changes. The only thing highlighted in that report should be your references.
12. Have a minimum of 5 sources, all must be peer reviewed (academic journals)
13. At least 3 of your sources must be Criminal Justice based.
14. No textbooks, magazines, blogs, websites, etc. can be used as references.
15. All sources must be published from 2012 to the present.
16. All sources must be in US publications and contain information on US Criminal Justice, no other countries.
17. All references must contain the DOI number or, if not available, the URL. URLs containing EBSCOhost are prohibited.
18. Only 1 Block Quote allowed.
