But death is not the only thing that affects humans in Greek mythology. In the myths from weeks 6-9, what are the causes of suffering for human beings while they are alive? What kinds of human qualities or characteristics are seen as the cause or source of pain, suffering, agony, conflict, violence, or any other negative experience that humans endure in these myths? Or does pain/suffering/violence/etc. originate not at the level of individual humans but rather from the characteristics or qualities of human societies?
