a) How are the values of Chaucer’s Knight, as we get to know him in “The General Prologue” and the “Tale”, reflected in the men who fight for the Montagues and the Capulets? Are Romeo’s values different from the Knight’s?
b) Examine the differences in the approaches to romance of these three characters, Romeo, the Knight, and Juliet. Which of these is the wisest about romance? And which the most foolish?
