This assignment will come in two parts:
Part 1: Convert either your print warm-up or print major assignment for the web. This means making the piece lateral/non-linear by identifying at least two words or phrases that you would convert into a hyperlink, and what you’d hyperlink to (you can just make up a place to which you’d link). Additionally, you will need a headline and will need to make the piece a bit shorter/punchier. Finally, describe two additional storytelling tools (audio, video, photograph, etc.) that you’d use to bring this news package to life. Note, you need to describe (meaning don’t just write “video” … state what the video would be of) what this would look like, but you don’t have to produce the piece. So be imaginative.
Part 2: Write an opinion piece on a topic of your choosing. This should be between 300 and 450 words long.
