Virtual medicine or Telemedicine is growing in popularity with both patients and providers. As its popularity increases, third-party payers, including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), must adapt their reimbursement models to include virtual visits.
For this assignment, you will write a systematic review. You will summarize scholarly articles about the popularity of telemedicine/virtual visits and how reimbursement methodologies have advanced over time. Please use the following format to write your review:
Systematic Review Structure
You may use a modified structure if desired. This is a suggested starting point. The content of your research may dictate a more detailed structure depending on how much data is available.
Introduction – Define the topic and issues of articles being reviewed
Methods – Explain research, evaluation, and number of studies/articles reviewed
