Now that you have watched the presentation on Ethnicity and Citizenship, and read Gloria Anzaldúa’s book Borderlands/La Frontera: The New Mestiza, you will write a short essay about a poem from this book. These materials are available on Module 10 – Materials page.
To be successful in this assignment, you must:
Choose one of the poems in the section of the book entitled “Un Agitado Viento/ Ehecatl, The Wind”.
In a 500-1000 words essay, analyze the meaning of the poem you choose.
In the conclusion of your paper, analyze the place of your poem in the overall context of the book, paying attention to the fact that this is an unusual kind of text.
