Answer each of the following final exam questions with a minimum of one page per question. Each answer to the question must have an introduction, body, and conclusion. Ensure that you cite all sources and answer all components of each question.
Consider how you might use research in your own workplace, or in a workplace that you hope to work in in the future. Create a proposal for either implementing changes based on available research or developing a plan to do research within your own agency that you believe will help your organization work more effectively.
Compare and contrast quantitative and qualitative research. You should outline the similarities, differences, and uses.
Provide the full citation and link to a journal article (different from any assignment in the course) and provide a brief descriiption and analysis of why you think this research could help in the field. It might be an evidence-based practice or it might help to solve a problem.
How is data compiled in social sciences for the purpose of research? What are the implications of the manner in which most data is collected? What recommendations do you have for how we can improve data collection and research methods?

Remember when approaching this question that this is a social science research class, and you should be thinking about research here in terms of either pre-existing peer-reviewed academic research or an internal company research project that puts into practice the type of research design that we’ve been talking about in this class.
In addition, I want to make clear that it’s fine if you want to combine a response to this question and question three, which asks you to find a peer-reviewed journal article and to provide a brief descriiption and analysis of why you think this research could help in the field. If you decide to do this you should make it clear that you’re answering both questions and you should make sure that you are fully responding to both questions. But you can imagine a scenario where you would want to incorporate this piece of research that you’ve found into a plan that you’re presenting to your agency.
Please let me know if you have any questions about this. You won’t lose any points if you answer the first question as it’s originally written, but I think/hope this re-write makes the question more clear and more in line with the way we’ve been talking about applied research in the class.
