This course requires a final paper of 10 pages, excluding title page and Works Cited. The paper is to be set in 12point Times Roman font and double-spaced. The student selects a topic for the instructor’s approval and suggestions. The paper is written in the Modern Language Association (MLA) format only. There are no exceptions.
The student selects a film and thesis for the instructor’s approval and suggestions. The student submits two brief sentences by e-mail to the instructor: 1) a topic sentence (what the paper is about); and, 2) a thesis statement (what will be demonstrated or proved). The paper is to be an argumentative essay, not an expository essay (that is, not a plot summary, not a biography of the author, and so on). The paper is written in the Modern Language Association (MLA) format only. There are no exceptions.
