(8 pages) Assignment Instructions In this assignment, you will assume the role of an Organizational Change Consultant for your organization. You will identify a critical area where a change effort is needed. For example, change can represent: rules, policies, personnel / staffing, equipment, processes, procedures, location, etc. Diagnose the need for change by reflecting on the organization’s culture, structure, policies, procedures, processes, technology, etc. In this assignment, you will present a plan to transform the organization, applying Kotter’s 8-Step change model. Create a slides presentation using Powerpoint or Google SlidesLinks to an external site.. Your presentation should contain the following: A minimum of 14 slides you should include: Title/Intro. slide: Include your name, date, and the name of the organization. At least 1 slide: Provide a brief biography of the company or organization. For example, Name, location, when was the company founded, what industry, what do they produce or what service do they provide, how many people do they employ, etc.). At least 1 slide: Diagnose the need for change by briefly providing a background of the problem. In other words, explain the problem and why it makes the organization operate ineffectively. At least 1 slide: Provide a remedy or solution to the problem stated above. Here you will explain the solution or change that needs to be implemented, so as to improve the effectiveness of the organization. At least 1 slide: Describe the nature of the proposed change. For example will the change be incremental or transformational? Will the proposed change be proactive or reactive? At least 8 slides: Utilize Kotter’s 8-step change model. Using one slide for each of Kotter’s 8-steps, provide a strategy for achieving the step. At least 1 slide: Your final slide will be a Reference slide in APA format. Please cite your sources: Include textbook, websites, and other materials used to support this presentation. 2. Utilize the Notes section for your presentation notes and details (just as you would do with a live presentation). 3. Avoid using too many transitions in your presentation. 4. Use high-contrast colors. For example, a dark blue background with white font is easy to view. Conversely, an orange font on a red background will be low contrast and difficult to view for an audience. 5. Use images that support your content and are relevant. If submitting Google Slides, please copy/paste the shareable link into the Website URL box. (Do not forget to share your Google Slides with your instructor.)
