The purpose of this assignment is to construct a family genogram depicting family structure and function, with an emphasis on impact of genetics.
Instructions:
In your assigned group, locate the Genogram Case Presentation and submit your case. 
(family name)
Describe a family unit. This may be a family from the clinical setting or a fictional family. Describe the family through at least three generations. 
Using a genogram template (these are available free on the web), or word document (with boxes and lines), construct a three-generation genogram. You may also use a PowerPoint slide and you can cut/paste/screenshot the image in your Case Presentation post (Do not use the standard ‘Attach’ option outside this textbox area; instead use the ‘Add Content icon’  Click for more options ).
You can insert an image (acceptable formats include: PNG, GIF, JPG, SVG, BMP and ICO) into the discussion board by first saving a photo on your computer.  When you create a new thread, all you have to do is select the ‘Add Content icon’  Click for more options

To find an image from your computer choose ‘Insert local files’ and browse for it or select from other available sources listed. You can resize an image after it has been added in the text area by simply dragging the image corners.
Indicate health disorders, diseases, deaths, ages, gender of all family members. Indicate if there are conflicting relationships using appropriate genogram abbreviations. 
Summarize the genogram in terms of potential health risks to individual family members. Is genetic testing/screening indicated? Why or why not?

Use at least 3 peer-reviewed articles from *professional nursing or medical journals should be used to support your case presentation. Use 1 reference (per response) to support your response to the peer’s question.
When responding to a peer’s question(s), state the name of that peer, and copy/paste the question (bold) and respond to it.
You may respond to both peer’s questions or one from two different peers. When responding to a peer’s case presentation/question(s), do not choose one who has already been responded to- if possible.
*Professional journals include nurse practitioner journals or medical journals, preferably published in the US. Wikipedia, up-to-date, dictionaries or national clinical practice guidelines are not acceptable for this paper. Use primary source when possible. Correct APA format, punctuation, spelling and grammar is expected.
