Consider the requirement for there to be an output to the solenoid controlling the valve that will open the shop door when the shopkeeper has closed a switch to open the shop and a customer approaches the door and is detected by a sensor which then gives a high signal. There is another safety switch for the shopkeeper which if pressed closes the door, regardless of the previous conditions.
