Here you’ll find the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. This list catalogs and highlights those species facing a high risk of global extinction (i.e. those listed as Critically Endangered, Endangered and Vulnerable).

Using the search function, choose a species that is of particular interest to you (You may have to click on “Find out more on the IUCN Red list” for additional details on your species) and report back the following:
Provide the scientific Species Name and Common Name of your selected species
What Kingdom is your species in?
What is its Red List category and criteria?
What is its geographic range (in other words, where is it found)?
What are its major threats?
Tell us two additional “tidbits” (aka interesting facts) about this species
Optional: attach a photo or two
