In this assignment you will conduct a preliminary online search on the topic you selected in the  Making EBP Real Discussion using your PICOT question and keywords. Refer to the Course Schedule for the due date.
Download, save, and review the fillable Evidence Grid/Evaluation Table document [DOCX].
Conduct your search to find the most representative evidence articles on your topic and restrict your search to the most recent five years.
Use one of these databases listed or a comparable one: PubMed/CINAHL.
Use various MeSH (Medical Subject Heading) terms and combinations of terms from your PICOT question. Examine the MeSH terms derived for this paper.  Adjust your search strategy to include combinations of the most relevant three to four MeSH terms.
Select at least  five evidence-based articles  that can support a potential improvement project. Identify evidence that best addresses the topic for a potential improvement project.
Complete the Evidence Grid/Evaluation Table.
An  Evidence Grid/Evaluation Table  presents a summary of the methods, results, and conclusions of the studies.
This summary table will allow you to compare studies efficiently.
Consider the table a working document; throughout your program of study additional searches will need to be done and evidence added to maintain the most current evidence.
Considerations:
Use one table for all studies, not one study per table.
Keep all information succinct and clear. No complete sentences.
Review Level of Evidence (LOE) and provide citation for the system used to rate the LOE.
Review statistical methods to understand the terms and concepts used in the table.
Use abbreviations and create your own legend to help readers.
Keep your desired outcome in mind, use only relevant information, and avoid unrelated, irrelevant content.
