You will be expected to complete two (2) observations, using the templates provided. This second observation is an in person observation of a preschool classroom conducted outside of class. Students will answer questions about the teacher/child interactions, language development, motor skills, and social/emotional skills, etc. Once observations are complete, students will submit a typed written observation report and reflection to the assignment link in Canvas by the deadline. The purpose of these assignments are to give students a focused opportunity to think about the concepts and ideas you learned in class and to understand the concepts and ideas you learned from the reading assignments. The analysis will also give you an opportunity to express your own thoughts and opinion about the materials at hand. The observations can also be used in weekly discussion posts.
The second observation should be an in person observation at a preschool. You may contact the following facilities to make an appointment:
