Although I have received several emails this morning with explanations as to why the orientation was missed, I did not receive any prior to the orientation notifying me that you would not be present. You will find that communication is the key to success in this process. The orientation is filled with information that you will need to be successful in the internship process.
You must also write a one-page paper on professionalism and how you should handle this in the future. I need to know you understand that this is important and the beginning of you promoting yourself and your professionalism. This internship is important and you have worked hard to get here. You will have life situations to come up during your internship. The way that you choose to handle it can be the difference in you being successful or unsuccessful.
