Post you will reply to is here:
The United States spends more on medical care than other wealthy nations, due to several factors. One reason is the rapid technical change (Lee, 2019). Today, technology is a heavily utilized tool in the healthcare sector. Healthcare organizations who adopt efficient technologies have been known to improve the quality of services they are capable of rendering to patients at their organizations. If healthcare administrators utilize the proper technologies for their companies, it is possible that he or she can reduce the amount of time it takes to complete services at their facility. Additionally, effective technology can possibly reduce the amount of revenue a company spends on specific outputs at their facility. The rate of medical research and development is magnificent , and the public’s aspiration for improved treatments is transparent (Lee, 2019).
God desire is for all of His children to receive quality and affordable healthcare services. “If anyone is poor among your fellow Israelites in any of the towns of the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward them, rather be openhanded and freely lend them whatever they need (New International Version Bible, Deuteronomy 15:7-8).” Deuteronomy 15:7-8 has correlation to the United States spending more on medical care than other wealthy nations. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) was signed into law by President Barack Obama. This law was established to ensure all people in the United States of America had access to affordable and not just a select few. President Obama and the law makers that voted the ACA into law did what God requires all of His children. God ask of His children to give to their neighbors and to not be absorbed with oneself and the things of the world. The fact all citizens of the United States have access to quality and affordable healthcare is significant. Furthermore, ACA reduces the chance of an individual being denied care, due to his or her preexisting health conditions. It is reasonable to believe the ACA is considered a groundbreaking healthcare policy to many people. However, the healthcare policy did require a significant amount of money to function. Due to the resources ACA required to be enacted, the policy did increase in an increase of revenue the US spends on medical care.
The United States does spend a significant amount of money on health care. In 2018, U.S. health care spending totaled $3.6 trillion, which equated to 17.7% of the gross domestic product (GDP) and $11,200 per capita — almost double as much as many other high-income countries (Baicker & Chandra, 2020). The above evidence establishes a quantitative view of the US spending towards health care, compared to other influential countries. Different standards of living also contribute to the reason why the US spend more on medical care than other nations. Since labor and consumption tax rates are higher in Europe than in the United States, this suggests that, everything else being equal, Europeans would invest more leisure time than Americans when it comes to maintaining health (He et al., 2021). The cost of living is lower in Europe than in the US. Many Americans spend long hours working so they can afford to live. It is reasonable to conclude that Europeans have more time to participate in activities that prevent poor health. These activities includes sports and other recreational activities. Exercise has been known to reduce the chance of obesity and other life-threatening health issues. Many Americans are diagnosed with health issues, due to inactivity and hereditary health issues. Therefore, these individuals are compelled to spend a higher amount on revenue for medical care compared to people in other wealthy nations.
