Preparing for the Christian Philosophy of Education Paper

As you read the book and watch our videos this year, be aware of information that speaks to the following topics. You should be incorporating what we read and watch in our Biblical Integration and Philosophy of Education sections, and you can always reference information from our many discussions. There are typed notes from our meetings, and some were recorded, so the video is available to view. Everything is available in the shared Google Folder for CPoE that was shared with you at the beginning of the year.

1. Christian Core beliefs and the purpose of education (it should include a discussion of what we know about God and what we believe is true, real, and of value; the themes of creation, the Fall, redemption, and the Christian’s role in restoration should be included.)

4. Nature of the learning process

5. A Christian’s view of subject matter and curriculum

6. Conclusion that includes the writer’s view of the goal of Christian education and resulting educational practice

Writing the Paper

It will be 4-6 pages in length, double-spaced, and include the above six components.

You can write it in any way you like, as long as it is organized and includes a thorough discussion of all the above topics.
