It can seem as though policing is under siege both from without and within and there’s little individual officers can do without being subjected to extraordinary criticism and second~guessing. It’s not surprising then, police recruiting has virtually “tanked.” Is that it, though; or, are there other reasons which may play a significant factor in the lack of viable police applicants? Officers are leaving the profession as well; why?
From a human resources perspective, answer the above questions; define the problems then develop/propose viable solutions as to what police organizations can do to reduce or eliminate those problems. Develop a three (3) to five (5) page (double spaced) response to this question. ENSURE your answer thoroughly discusses the material in the three (3) course modules and is predicated on that material. The addition of extra information (e.g., peer reviewed journal articles) the student reaches out and finds on their own WILL lead to added points.
