(B) Expand that list to an approximately half-page, single-spaced paragraph discussing each selection, which will serve as support and annotation of your choices. Numbers can embody historical evolutions, stylistic models, social resonances, aesthetic concerns, etc. Your particular list will necessarily involve your tastes and inclinations but the point is that you address the genre comprehensively and defend your choices by accounting for their significance.
Note: We’re using “mixtape” as a metaphor so you’re free to include dance numbers as well as songs. Keep that full spectrum of a number’s components—song, dance, staging –in mind in shaping your roster and forming an overall narrative about: composed of ten extended, single-spaced paragraphs (a minimum of four typed pages in all).
