1. Write a realistic scenario. The scenario can be about any real or created life experience. The details of the scenario should be one that provides the student with the opportunity to apply a theory to the case or skill to help address the issue(s). The scenario can be one that you have experienced and have personal knowledge of. However, it will be written in the third person, change the names and places to protect all individuals/organizations involved. No personal markers should be referenced in the scenario. Protect all parties.
2. Answer the problem. What did I learn in this master’s program? How will it apply and work in this situation? Start with your analysis of the situation. Draw and evaluate conclusions. Generalize your learning from the theories, skills, or any other contexts you have learned. Finally, make a recommendation or solution to the problem (s).
This element is two parts. Write enough to describe the scenario, how you can use what you have learned, and the outcome.
