● For this part of the project, you are developing a CoP from the ground up– one that
does not exist yet. You can build on the one you looked at in Part 1, or do a different one. You can use an existing CoP or project as a model for inspiration, but you cannot just describe their own audience, domain, purpose, etc.– you must develop your own, unique, independent content. If you use any as inspiration, you must include them in citations.
● For those about to go onto the job market, one option for this project is to find some job applications or companies that appeal to you and develop your CoP as if you were hired and charged with the task of leading a team to address a specific product, project, need, or generate knowledge for the company. Consider who would be members in that company, what activities you’d design, and platforms you would use (which you’ll develop in part 3 of the CoP profile). If you do this, include a link to the job application, company, or CoP you’re inspired by.
