1. STRENGTHS FINDER CRITIQUE
Read pages 1-33 of the Strengths Finder 2.0 book (Rath, T. (2007). Strengths Finder 2.0. New York, NY: Gallup Press.).
Take the Strengths Finders 2.0 Assessment using the code provided in the book (I will provide the reports of the assessment that I took). Read about your top 5 themes/strengths in the 2nd half of the book.
Review the PowerPoint and review the Boat analogy handout under Week/Module #5. Think about what your “boat” would look like using your 5 strengths. This information will be used in your paper.

The critique should have an introduction, a body that should answer the questions below, and a conclusion. The critique should be no more than two (2) pages long, double-spaced, 1-inch margin, 12 font.

Questions to answer in the critique:
a. What was your signature theme or the #1 theme that you use the most? What was your first reaction to your top theme? Describe a past event that showcases this top talent.
b. After doing Strengths Finder, how do you or will you use your talents within your career? (My future career is Midwifery as a midwife in Florida. I will include a powerpoint of my career for you to view for reference.)
c. Of your top 5 strengths, which one do you most want to develop? How will you develop the strength?
d. Describe in detail how you developed your boat (the analogy used in the PowerPoint). Describe each piece of the boat as it relates to one of your top (5) strengths and how you came to that decision. Did this help you understand how the strengths work together? If you didn’t get the boat analogy, please make your own descriiption.
***While the focus of the paper is to address the questions
below, points will be deducted for NOT following the format, poor writing such as spelling, run-on sentences, paragraph structure, etc. The critique (paper) should have an introduction, a body of a couple of paragraphs a minimum that should answer
the questions below, and a conclusion. The critique should be two (2) pages long, double-spaced, 1-inch margin,
12 pt font. You must use APA formatting for the references page. Please use in-text citations where appropriate and make sure the only references are the reports and the book mentioned above only. You do not need to cite the powerpoint on my career choice.
